7. View In The Sun
Tents are beggin for the slightest breeze
Music’s playin but I’m not at ease
Parched and sunburn, next to you
Wonderin what to do
You and I go back a ways
I’d love to love you but you’re so afraid
You keep me hangin by a single thread
You won’t cut nor mend
More power than you’ll understand
Is restin in your shaky hand
Why don’t you just come out for once
And take a stand?
Can’t you see what you’ve done,
by not makin up your mind
From my view in the sun,
you’re not really all that kind
Take notice how I feel and look
And mark it down in your little book
Disguise your feelings with a joke or two
Ain’t that so big of you
One moment you’re asleep in my arms
The next you tell me to get lost
Once this week is over baby
It’s time for us to part
Can’t you see what you’ve done,
by not makin up your mind
From my view in the sun,
you’re not really all that kind
