4. The Wheel

Pull out the car
My friend it’s time to hit the road
We’ve come so far
I’ve kept this woman waiting
Time’s runnin low

And I will drive all day if you want
Just as long as there is sun
But once that sun goes down,
you know I won’t be found at the wheel,
because, because, because…

In the daylight,
houses, road signs, farmland, rock mines greet my wonderin' eyes
with a smile
But once that sun goes down,
you look around and the only thing you see for miles and miles
Is white on the left, and red on the right
Ridin on the highways at night
And once the light returns,
the sunlight shines and burns
I’ll grab hold of the wheel, it’ll be alright
